| The Town of Amity is located in Allegany County, New York approximately 75 miles from Rochester and Buffalo. Located along Interstate 86 at Exit 30. The Town of Amity is the home of Allegany County government's Center which is located in Belmont. Belmont is a Village within the confines of Amity. Allegany County's Government Center includes the Court House, Office Building, New Jail & Emergency Services Facility, Soil & Water District. The Crossroads Center with the Tourism and Development Offices is just north in Belvidere. The Town is primarily rural with good farm lands and forest lands. | |
| Business in the Town of Amity: The primary business corridor is along New York State Route 19. The Village of Belmont is the home of many businesses including hardware, bank, grocery stores, pharmacy, gift shops, hair care, restaurants, real estate offices and more. |  |
